Valentine's Day sometimes gets a bad rep. I get it, I used to think the same way. But now, I'm embracing it! And it seems you are too since you're here! Whether you're single or married, totally in love or wanting to celebrate with your friends, here are a few fun ways to celebrate the holiday both by yourself and with others.
February 1st
Let's start the season by going for a nice nature walk and getting in the right head space. If you're single, this is especially important. If you're in a relationship or married, this is still very beneficial not only to you, but to your relationship. A healthy mind = a healthy relationship. And there's no better way to get a healthy mind than by getting a healthy body. Go alone, take a friend or a pet, or go with your loved one. While you're out there, really look around and embrace all that nature has to offer you. Look for hidden heart shapes and meditate on everything that you love. Being out in nature is proven to help reduce depression and anxiety, and who doesn't have a little bit of depression this time of year? If it's chilly where you live, bundle up and make it a shorter walk, but still get out there!

Okay, we went for a walk yesterday, so that gives us permission to eat all the cookies today, right? Just kidding. But what's a better way to celebrate a holiday than by baking holiday specific cookies?! Bake some heart shaped cookies and then have fun decorating them! Throw on a love playlist, grab your kids or some friends, and then get to decorating! While they're still warm, enjoy them with some freshly made hot cocoa.

Today it's time to focus on loveeee. I want you to pour yourself some pink champagne and sit down to write a love note to someone important to you. This can be a husband, boyfriend, child, parent, friend, or even to yourself. But really focus on making this something sweetly written. If you want to take it up a notch, write a "love note" to someone you've fallen out of touch with or are currently in the middle of a quarrel with. Sometimes just the act of writing out a love note can solve all sorts of turmoil that we have going on within us.

Today is all about you, girly. If you go out today (or the next time you do go out), I want you to buy yourself some flowers AND treat yourself to a new perfume! You don't always need to rely on a man to pamper you. Sometimes we need to treat ourselves. And you know that feeling of wearing a new fragrance? It's all encompassing the first few days. Pure bliss 😌. Scent is a very powerful sense. If you don't already have a man, you may soon! And if you do have a man, put on your sexiest panties... things are going to happen tonight.

Tonight we're going to pamper ourselves some more! And you thought Valentine's Day was a farce...psh. Tonight is bubble bath time 😍. So grab your favorite romance novel and run yourself a hot bubble bath. Don't forget to stick a "Do Not Disturb" post-it note on the bathroom door!

Alright, I think it's time to get back to our families. Show them a little love, ya know? So how about a fondue night?! Cheese or chocolate, both are amazing choices. For cheese, make sure you include dipping sides like chicken, dinner rolls, large pasta, crackers, soft pretzels, Tostito chips, mini bagels, broccoli, cauliflower, apples, etc. For chocolate, include dipping sides like apples, pretzels, pineapple, strawberries, banana's, cookies, wafers, muffins, etc.

Throw on something red or pink and grab your girls for a Galentine's brunch. Whether you're single or taken, you can still celebrate Valentine's Day with your girls!

February 8th
Treat your loved ones to a breakfast in bed. This is well received from husband's as well as kids! Grab a large breakfast board/tray and make pancakes, waffles, eggs, and some cut up fruit and juice. Maybe serve with some mimosa's if you want to make it a romantic breakfast in bed for two!

February 9th
Something about holiday's just makes me so crafty! I love to get my hands working and I love the look and feel of hearts all over. Take today to craft with the kids (or by yourself) and string some paper hearts! Hang them from your mantel or above your bed. You can also dangle them down the wall or on the door frame of kids room, making a curtain of hearts to walk through. And while you're at it, add a bowl of conversation hearts to your living room coffee table. Guests love it when you leave candy out to snack on when they visit!

February 10th
Let's keep the family love going by making heart shaped pizza's tonight! This makes for a great family night where everyone makes their own personal pizza's, or you can make one for you and a loved one (or even just for yourself!).

February 11th
It's getting a little late, so we better get some cards created and sent out ASAP! Today, let's make homemade cards (or fill out pre-made ones) and send them to a few loved ones. Valentine's Day is a holiday that you don't necessarily expect to receive a card in the mail for. So when someone does get one, it lights them up. So grab a few Hershey Kisses, and start your card writing adventure. (The chocolate is there fore moral support).

Tonight would be a great night to relax. Make yourself (or buy) some chocolate covered strawberries and settle down for a romantic movie tonight. This is just as fun on your own as it is with a man. I mean, I'm not going to lie, it's probably actually more fun on your own than with a man. Just keeping it real... they ruin everything romantic 🤪

It's the day before Valentine's Day! Take the day to pamper yourself. Whether you have a date for tomorrow or not, it's nice to take care of yourself. I don't know about you, but after a day of primping, I feel like a million bucks. It makes me feel happier, more confident, and like I can take on the world. I recommend doing this especially if you don't have a Valentine date. Take the day today to workout, eat healthy, drink your water, meditate, shower, shave, do a face & hair mask, freshen up your nails, throw on a little tanning lotion, and whiten your teeth. If you really want to go crazy, schedule a hair cut, a massage/facial, and a mani/pedi. You're ready to face tomorrow now! Looking and feeling like a bombshell.
