Quick & Easy DIY Gift Idea: Birthday Candy Box

Make your own Birthday Candy Gift Box! This is a great gift to give to that candy lover in your life. It's super cute, super easy, and doesn't cost that much to make!

Birthday Candy Gift for Kids (or adults with a sweet tooth!)

I'm sure that by now you've seen these cute little candy tackle boxes for sale in popular candy shops around town (and even in some Target's)! However, have you ever looked at the price of one of those things! Almost $50 by me. So, if you don't want to spend $50 on a candy box, and if you're a crafty mom like me, this is the perfect gift to make yourself!

All you'll need is some candy, a plastic tackle box, and a Cricut. If you don't have a Cricut, you can create a cute design and print it on sticker paper, or draw on the box with a paint pen or sharpie!

Grab your Tackle Box!

First at foremost, grab yourself a plastic organizer box. Once your have your box, you'll know what kind of candy's you'll want to put in it and how much you should buy. Most boxes have adjustable dividers like the one linked below. Adjustable dividers are great to have because it'll help you fit candy's that are longer like smarties, and any odd shaped or tiny candies.

Now that you have your box all set up, you know how much candy you will need to fill the box and how big/small the candies should be.

If you're making this for a specific holiday/occasion, it's fun to create a theme! All green & yellow for St. Patty's Day; all pink & Red for Valentine's Day; all green & red for Christmas; all chocolate for a breakup; all sour as a cheer up box. Or make it a nut box for Dad! You can also substitute candy for little trinkets and toys (Lego, beads, stickers, etc.)

Time to Decorate!

Once your box is filled with your special treats, it's time to decorate the box! You can keep it simple with just their name, you can make it funny like the one we created above, or you can decorate it with stickers and/or painting!
